The Luncheon

I have a great group of girlfriends who have been getting together once a month for lunch at each others homes. We have been doing this for many years and originally started it to be able to keep in touch even though we live near each other for the most part. It has taken on a life of its own and no one misses it except for dire emergencies! Whoever is the hostess can invite other guests which keeps it interesting to say the least.

My sweet Edie making fresh mojitios for the girls. 75 degree weather didn't hurt



Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic and Moroccan couscous fom Barefoot Contessa. Suprisingly easy to fix and can be done ahead for the most part.



Flowers done up in a birdcage which you can barely see.



The favors. Wood rounds cut by Eddie with dome covered birdnests. The place card is a book marker that I stamped with everyones name. Made it so that it was still usable for what it was intended.

We have three birthdays in February so there were lots of presents.

Dessert was a mojito" caketail" which I failed to get a picture of but you get the idea.
